Empathize

This is where it all begins. The first step to a working product. Here, we will meet for the first time and get to know each other. Just as importantly, this is where we get to learn about your product and your customers. We will get to understand the problem you're trying to solve, your ideal customer, your competitors, the general intricacies of your field, and finally, your value proposition. We will then move on to User Journey Mapping. This method enables the team to get into the mindset of the user and illuminates pain points.

Since we are all designers deep down, your preferences when it comes to typography, logos, colors as well as inspiration from your favorite apps and/or websites are also crucial at this stage. With this information we will be well equipped and ready for phase 2.

Design Business Strategy

Now that we have a clearer understanding of the product, the problem it is trying to solve and its customers, we delve deeper by defining specific context and desired outcomes of potential solutions. This phase includes defining success metrics and design principles, as well considering key implications in the business planning process.
Following the above methodology helps us identify the Key User Journey. We will now be able to visualize the ideal path of a customer towards the goals set.

*Additional competitor research may be needed at this stage as well as meetings with stakeholders.

Ideate, Sketch & Decide

In the 3rd phase we can finally start putting our thoughts on an actual canvas. There are many ideation techniques out there, but we will distill them for you and will apply the ones that are most relevant to your product.

We will generate and share a broad range of ideas as individuals. Starting by looking for inspiration, such as solutions in alternative spaces. Then, each participant will individually generate ideas for consideration. From there, the team will narrow down ideas to a small number of Solution Sketches.

Upon having sketched some solutions, we can now decide on the ones that will be used in the next phase - Prototype

Prototype

In the Prototype phase we put all the assets and ideas into practice. We create mockups of every page and user flow, essentially building the full user experience journey. Once we have a first draft we are able to discuss it further and add additional iterations before creating a working concept that is the basis of what your users will engage with at launch.

Main Design

We take everything we have worked on so far and apply the design preferences mentioned in phase 1. Anything that has to do with the aesthetics of your product is attended to. From color schemes and button shapes to animations, transitions, images etc. Every single page and interaction will get a design that is unique to your brand, starting with the home-page and moving through the entire customer journey.

Design Tweaks & Launch

The UI build is now complete and we are able to perform minor design tweaks to make sure everything is just the way you like it. We will hand over the completed project accompanied by your own proprietary design system, enabling any future designer to make make adjustments quickly and efficiently. To make things even better, we will arm you with your own brand guidelines document for present and future reference.
